Creation: We believe that God created the Heavens and the Earth all that is in them in Six Days, creating mankind in the image of God on the sixth day, and that God rested on the seventh day, as prescribed in the book Genesis in the Bible.
The Holy Bible: We believe the Holy Bible, that is the 66 books of the Bible, is the only written revelation of God, being fully inspired, absolutely inerrant in the original Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew manuscripts, infallible, and God-breathed. What it says, we believe, and that settles it. We do not lift up the word of man over the Word of God. We trust God’s Word over all else and as followers of Jesus Christ and God, we will therefore follow His word and teachings. God’s Word is sufficient, reliable, and shall not be added to, or taken away from.
God, The Holy Trinity:There is only one true and living God Who is perfect, personal, infinite, and He exists eternally in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three members of the Godhead are the same substance and are co-equal.
God the Father: God the Father is the first person of the Trinity. He orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. He is sovereign in creation, providence and redemption. He created the heavens and the earth in six days, which He accomplished from no pre-existing substance, as He spoke everything into existence through His Word, that is His Son, Jesus Christ, through Whom all things were made. He is eternal, immutable, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.
The Son of God: Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity, possessing all the divine excellencies and is co-equal with the Father. He is fully human and at the same time, fully divine/deity, and is one with the Father and the express image of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary and of God the Father. He is God Incarnate in human flesh. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrificial atonement for our sins, and rose physically and spiritually from the grave on the third day. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father to intercede on every believer's behalf, and is literally returning to receive His church and restore His kingdom on the whole earth. He will rule and reign forever with the Father.
The Holy Spirit: The Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He is a divine Person, eternal and co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, glorifies Christ, regenerates the unsaved, indwells the believer, guides us, comforts the afflicted, equips the saints with gifts, sanctifies the saved, unifies the body, assures us of our salvation, and teaches and helps us to understand the Word of God. We are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the evidence of His presence in our lives will be the fruit of the Spirit and spiritual gifts of the Spirit. We believe all the spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible are still just as much for today as they were 2000 years ago. We also believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is in addition to the indwelling and of the Holy Spirit.
Mankind: All of mankind, men and women, are made in the image of God, but has fallen from grace, and therefore, is by nature sinful, and is a fallen race, and no one can obtain salvation without God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in us, we are a slave to sin, and it is evident in our lives. Mankind is inherently wicked, and eternally damned without the redeeming work of Christ and the grace of God.
Salvation: The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ not of any works, so no one may boast. Salvation does not come as the result of something we have done but rather because of what God has done. It is a free gift that cannot be earned or deserved. We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial atonement on the cross. We are justified before God, because His wrath was poured out on Christ instead of us as propitiation due to our sins. If we are saved, then there should be repentance of sin and some type of evidence of change, to want to do God’s work or will in our lives, as a result of regeneration or God changing us. This evidence does nothing to save us, but is simply a result or evidence of being born again as a new creation in Christ. We can do nothing to add to God’s grace and what Jesus did for us on the cross. Jesus suffered and died on the cross as a sacrificial atonement for the sins of the world, but we must receive this gift by faith in Christ. Only born again believers in Jesus Christ are saved and so is Jesus is the only way to heaven. This is exclusive and no other religion offers any form of salvation for mankind. If a believer in Christ is born again, they are in the process of being sanctified and molded into the image of Jesus Christ, which is and should be the goal of every born again believer.
The Church: The Church is not a building, but is the body of believers that have repented of their sins, surrendered their lives to Christ as Lord over their lives, and Savior of their eternal souls, and follow Christ according to His word. The Church or Temple is the body of every born again believer in Christ, and our body or Temple should be treated as such, a holy Temple where the Spirit of God dwells. The Church exists all around the world, and every true born again Christian is a member, and we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, with one Holy Father. We are indwelled with the same Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ is the head of the church and no one else.
The Family: In a Christian family, the husband/father is the head of the household. Husband and wife are equal, but they have different roles to play. The husband/father, with help from his wife, is to lead the family to follow Jesus according to the Word of God. Marriage and sex is to be between one man and one woman only, within the confines of marriage between husband and wife (as defined in Scripture Genesis . Concerning children, we believe that life begins at conception. To end the life of a baby while he/she is still in the mother’s womb is murder, and therefore a sin, and therefore we will have nothing to do with abortion. The Father and Mother agree and are to raise their children to follow and have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures of the Holy Bible so as to be set apart living a sanctified life.
Two Sacraments
Baptism: The Bible teaches that baptism is the immersion in water of a penitent believer. In the church, every believer was commanded to be baptized. Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is a proclamation or declaration of our faith. Baptism by itself does not save us. It is an act of our faith, and an outward expression of an inward change. It is a proclamation of our faith to God, all creation, all mankind, and all witnesses present, that we have repented of all our sins and are one with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. It is symbolic of how our old life of sin was crucified and died with Christ, and we were buried with Christ, and we are raised to new life with Christ.
The Lord’s Supper: We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper every Sunday as an expression of faith and remembrance of the price that Jesus Christ paid for us on the cross for us. The bread represents the body and the wine represents the blood, but they in themselves are not changed. We are spiritually fed as we act out our faith in remembrance.
